Coming from an arts background, I originally went to law school with a focus on intellectual property and fashion, but over and over again I saw workers mistreated and taken advantage of at every level of the supply chain in the fashion industry. Even just as a consumer, I felt I couldn’t look the other way and dedicated my studies to working on labor issues. Working at GSD allows me to continue to provide meaningful and rewarding service, fighting for workers.
Elisabeth joined GSD in 2022. Prior to coming to GSD, Elisabeth was counsel in the Bureau of Labor Law at the Office of the New York City Comptroller where she investigated and prosecuted violations of prevailing wage law. From March 2018 – April 2019, Elisabeth served as a Volunteer Assistant Attorney General in the Labor Bureau of the NYS Attorney General’s Office.
