– Did you only get paid straight time? Being paid only straight time means receiving only your hourly rate, with no overtime premium pay (1.5x your hourly rate) for hours worked over 40 in a week.

– Were you classified as an independent contractor?

– Were you subject to a time-docking policy if you arrived late? For example, if you arrived 5 minutes past the start of your shift, then DMV reduced your pay by 1 hour.
