PART-TIME HR AND BOOKKEEPING POSITION AVAILABLE
Getman, Sweeney & Dunn, PLLC is seeking to hire a part-time Human Resources Administrator/ Bookkeeper with at least 3 years of relevant experience. The Firm has been representing employees only, primarily in overtime pay, minimum wage, and other wage theft cases since 1998. The Firm is proud to handle cases for a sizable low- and middle-income population as well as undocumented and documented immigrants. We handle individual, class, and collective actions throughout the U.S. Most of our litigation is in federal court. Applicants need a strong commitment to righting wrongs, and strong interpersonal skills to work with our team. As we evaluate our different options to fulfill part of the role of a retiring staff member, we are search for an extraordinary candidate whose responsibilities would include but are not limited to:
* Manage and process employee information (timesheets, payroll, PTO)
* Administer the firm’s 401(k) plan, insurances (health, liability, property, unemployment), and employee leave
* Coordinate onboarding of new staff and offboarding of departing staff
* Handle employee grievances
* Coordinate HR policy updates
* Handle accounts payable
* Calculate case fees and costs
* Make bank deposits
* Maintain the accuracy of the general ledger and the Attorney Trust account
* Account reconciliation for all bank accounts
* Work with the firm’s accountant to prepare annual 1099 forms
* Perform various business-related administrative duties
* Report to the firm’s management team
We are looking for a candidate who has the following:
* Bachelor’s degree in a related field
* Prior bookkeeping and Human Resources experience
* Knowledge of bookkeeping software, including QuickBooks software
* Experience collecting information needed by accountants for tax returns
* Ability to work on a strict deadline
* Attention to detail
* Excellent interpersonal skills
* Strong communication skills

Compensation includes an hourly rate of $28/hour to $36/hour (depending on relevant experience), bonuses in profitable years, vacation and sick pay, and other benefits.
