One of my least favorite things is to feel that the work I’m doing is pointless.  From an early age, I felt the need to do meaningful work that made a difference in the lives of others.  That urge has brought me to Getman, Sweeney & Dunn, where I hope to reassure our clients that someone is on their side against companies of any size.

Eve Bates is a litigation paralegal who works closely with attorneys to ensure effective case prosecution.  Before joining the firm, she worked as a case manager at a homeless shelter for families in Kingston, NY, where she helped parents navigate the world of social services and secure permanent housing.  She has also worked as a monitor of children’s nutrition in childcare facilities, and as an instructor of creative writing at an afterschool program in the Bronx.
