Victoria Morrell

City University of New York School of Law, J.D. 2021 State University of New York at New Paltz, B.A. 2013

Growing up, my parents worked hard, often taking on multiple jobs at a time. Early on, I learned the importance of a living wage. I am proud to join the fight to recover wages and stand up against employers who refuse to play fair and pay workers what they’re owed.

After graduating from the City University of New York School of Law in 2021, Victoria spent two years as an Assistant Deputy Public Defender for the New Jersey Office of the Public Defender Division of Mental Health Advocacy. There, she represented adult and minor clients in civil commitment hearings; guardianship proceedings; and companion criminal court hearings. In law school, Victoria was a member of the CUNY School of Law Moot Court team. She participated in the Health and Environmental Justice Clinic and was a Justice and Auxiliary Summer Fellow and Public Interest Grant Fellow. While in law school, Victoria worked with the Legal Aid Society Health Law Unit, Northern Manhattan Improvement Corporation, and The Second Judicial Department Mental Hygiene Legal Services. Before practicing law, she worked as a community organizer and professional fundraiser.
